Slug-Lines.com – A unique form of commuting in the Washington D.C. area. Slug lines are official meeting places where commuters catch free rides with drivers who need additional riders to use high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is assessing the HOV carpooling (slugging) pick-up and drop-off pattern in the Staffordboro Boulevard Park & Ride lot in Stafford County. VDOT is concerned about observed congestion around the pick-up line on weekday mornings. We want to make the pick-up and drop-off area a better experience for users.
